Who’s had a chance to ride an IT175, and what did you think of it? Couldn’t pass up this swap meet find 😍 this 1977 DG Yamaha IT175 is built top of the line for its time. Pretty awesome to get some time on this time capsule. Here are a few things featured on this beauty that will take you back to 1977 in the best way 👌
This bike has KYB pneumatic forks that were state-of-the-art for their time. Here is what Cycle World had to say about this same setup. - “Adjustable rebound damping feature, in four detented positions, makes on-site tuning easier and more effective. The machined billet construction and the generous 38mm stanchion tubes make for a virtually flex-free front end assem-bly, which works extremely well on this machine. The combination of DG swing arm and Luft-prepared monoshock is as effective a combination as we’ve seen to date. The adjustibility of the Yamaha damper is retained, while the Luft reservoir maintains fade-free operation. Internal changes which reduce damping, especially during the compression stroke, enhance rider comfort while allowing full use of the DG IT’s increased travel” • This 175 also has a DG gold radial head and 36mm Mikuni carb. Another cool thing from the past is the “No-Dive” setup on the front end. This bike was incredibly for its time and is still incredible to this day 🔥#IT175 #2stroke
