Best thing to do during a layover in NYC? Ride the Citi Bikes! Started at Between the Bagel in Astoria for a delicious bulgogi, egg, and cheese breakfast sandwich, and then hopped on the bikes to ride through Queens, Brooklyn, over the Brooklyn Bridge, and into Manhattan where I rode the Staten Island Ferry, and then rode to the High Line and over to Koreatown before hopping on a LIRR train to Jamaica for some food at Pollo Campero before going to JFK for my direct flight to Calgary on Westjet.

$Kelowna to Penticton Bike Ride on the KVR...or so we thought From Kelowna to Penticton on the Kettle Valley Rail Trail. Dont underestimate this ride. It was the worst hill Ive ever experienced, and my road tires were not well suited for the lack of maintenance on this section of the KVR where theres lots of soft sand. We ultimately bailed on the KVR and used forestry roads to take us down into Penticton. If I were to do this again, it would have to be on an e-mountain bike. The ride suddenly became better after getting off the KVR and descending back into the valley, being one of my favourite descents of the year.
