This weekend is the 250th anniversary of Paul Revere’s ride, warning Boston-area residents that the British were coming.

The journey was famously chronicled in Henry Wadsworth Longfellow's poem "Paul Revere’s Ride” (1863), but Longfellow left out another rider, William Dawes.
