so i saw someone post rick astley with the baka mitai deepfake, and i thought, "you know what, i'll make him REALLY sing baka mitai with sentence mixing and pitch shifting", and this is the result. if enough people ask me, i'll do a full version, but it will take like two weeks to do if i put all of my free time into it. enjoy!
notes: because of rick astley's vocal range, i could either have his voice be really low pitched and the words not really be heard, or i could have him be nightcore-ish and some of the words actually sound like he's singing them, so i chose the second option.
this was actually fairly easy to make, and this was also my very first experience sentence mixing. i found that if you pitch both the consonant and the vowel as the same pitch, then it sounds more realistic.
i had to really scuff the video to try and avoid copyright, so i shifted to color of everything, slowed down the video, and added tv damage to the footage. hopefully that's enough to where i don't get copyright claimed, but not enough for people to get a headache watching the video.
that's about it for any thoughts i had while making this, and remember: don't leave anything up to chance! see ya!
