"I have patients that I e-mail with or keep in contact with on facebook and they're always happy for me because I wasn't a wacky, schticky guy when I was a doctor. I was pretty intense and pretty serious.

"The stuff I get now from my patients is, 'We're just so happy you have an outlet. You were just so serious. We thought you would explode.' When they found out I did stand up comedy back in the day when I was practicing medicine they'd say, 'I'm so happy for you. You've finally found a way to channel all this stress out.'"
