Europe is the beating heart of the human adventure, says Zemmour. It was Europe that knew how to think separately about the temporal and the spiritual. It was Europe that invented the individual, emancipating him from the law of the clan and the tribe. Europe is not a people or a nation, but it is one and the same civilisation, forged by Judæo-Christianity and the Græco-Roman spirit. Yet contemporary Europe is entering a new crisis, and everyone vaguely feels that it could be the last. In most of our countries, millions of citizens have the feeling that all that they believe, everything that they have known, everything that they are, is on the verge of collapse. There is the impression that European civilisation is surrounded by several enemies at the same time, all extremely dangerous, and that this encirclement could get the better of who we are and everything we love. The enemies are three in number: 1. Islamisation. 2. The European bureaucracy. 3. Woke. We have a continent to reconquer.
