Rhythm Changes is the term for the chord changes based on Gershwin's "I Got Rhythm". Many bebop melodies have been written over these changes and this song form is an important part of the jazz repertoire. It is often played at fast tempos and the changes can be difficult to navigate for beginners.

Here is part 3 of Etude #1 where we look at the bridge to offer some insight in how to voice lead between the chord changes while improvising. This 8 bar section is comprised of dominant 7th chords that start on the 3rd of the key and move through cycle 4 motion. D7-G7-C7-F7
