Only works in Diamond and Pearl! FOLLOW THE INSTRUCTIONS CAREFULLY OTHERWISE YOU MIGHT LOSE YOUR SAVE FILE! You need to have used the Explorer at least once before trying these instructions, and a Pokémon with Fly, and a map and step calculator apps for the Pokétch.
This new method that should work in all language versions of Diamond and Pearl is a method that takes advantage of the Battle Tower Void, in which we can save in a Mystery Zone. This means that we can get to Shaymin in about 15 minutes.
However, because we use Battle Tower Void, in which your steps do not count in the step calculator, you have to count some of the steps in the instructions yourself!

It is quite a recent discovery in the tweaking and Voiding community to be able to catch Arceus! We have been testing things out and discussing it on the HoO Discord server.
This is the fourth method to get Arceus, and is definitely the best method as it SHOULD WORK FOR EVERYONE regardless of your progression and the language/region of your game. It was discovered by Cryo, who has a better video on this: youtube.com/watch?v=VrhHXG3cuAw
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- WRITTEN INSTRUCTIONS -----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
You might run into problems if you haven't used Explorer Kit at least once before trying this! Also, have a Pokémon with Fly or Teleport if you have not unlocked Pal Park yet.
These steps have to be done precisely, no missteps allowed! If you mess up, just reset the game and try again starting from part 3 of the instructions. In my video in parts 7 and 13 of the instruction, I do the 1N's and 1S without resetting the step calculator first, but they should work even if you do reset it. Those 1N's and 1S won't show up in the step calculator since the game takes over the control of your movement once you press up/down depending on the situation.
First, tweak in Jubilife City (I used 42121 pattern) and enter the Abyss in the west from the spot I did and go 20W 10N 5E 3S, and then refresh graphics (after that you are in the Pokétch Company's Void).
1. From the Pokétch Company Door: 1S, 17W, 14N, 2015W, 512S, save and reset 2. 32E, 384S, 32W, 1792S, 128W 3. 32S, 192W, 64S, 160W 4. 96S, 96E, 32S, 63E 5. 1N, 63E (if you have already visited Pal Park before then 64E) 6. 191N, 1N (Pal Park mode activates) 7. 192E, 66S, 1N 8. 192W, 64N, 64W, 32N 9. 128W, 64N, 64W, 96N, 226E 10. Start, retire (Arceus battle begins) 11. 34S, 33W, 128S, 160W, 160S, 160E 12. 31S, 1S, 64E, 166N, 1N 13. Start, retire
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- MORE DETAILS -----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Catching Arceus is possible using the Pal Park menu's retire option, which activates the 4th script in your current map. Pal Park menu can be activated in the Void, and it will stay until you use retire in a Pal Park area. Cryo explains this further here http://forums.glitchcity.info/index.php?topic=7770.0
The Arceus caught with this method will show as being caught in Jubilife City. If you are willing to put more risk and time into it, you can use the 3rd method of catching Arceus (youtube.com/watch?v=31-luymgx_A) to catch one that will show up as being caught in Hall of Origin. Edit: here is another method for English versions of Diamond and Pearl by MKDasher for a HoO Arceus youtu.be/qcQSc_Th7dkTweaking/Void glitch: I Found Fake Johto/Kanto!Crystalmourne2015-11-09 | Earlier, I posted a video saying I'd try to find Fake Johto/Kanto, and I did. It took a bit longer than expected as it was really boring watching the game go north step by step for 46 seconds and then had to click a macro key on my keyboard again. Also, had a ton of other things to do, some of which were way more interesting than listening the same music looping while virtually biking upwards.
After having used that 100N macro for 36 times (if I've counted correctly), I was so done, and decided to just go for it - aka I decided to go an hour north and see if I can find Fake Johto/Kanto. After around 40 minutes I found it.
IF YOU DIDN'T UNDERSTAND THE VIDEO AT ALL, READ THIS: ------------------------------------------------------------
In the generation IV Pokémon games, there is a glitch called the tweaking glitch where you move too fast over the lines where the game decides which areas it should load next, causing it to load an area incorrectly, thus the black area appeared in the northern Ecruteak City. I walk in the spot where the door is supposed to be, reload graphics and enter the building from the wrong way, entering the blackness called Void instead of the interior of the building.
Each building of the game is surrounded by a Void, and so is the whole outdoor map, which in HeartGold/SoulSilver consists of both Kanto and Johto. The centerpiece of the Void (the building you entered it from, or if you've saved and reset the game, it's the area name that was displayed in the area in which you saved) repeats graphically every 65,536 steps, because the game has a byte limit of 65,535 (where 0 is counted as the first one), so once you've gone over the limit, it repeats the graphics. This means that if you are in the Void of Johto and Kanto, you should find a new Johto and Kanto, which Void explorers would call a Fake Johto/Kanto.
But the thing is that although many Fake Sinnohs have been found in Diamond/Pearl/Platinum, I have never heard of anyone having found Fake Johto/Kanto. That's why I'm trying to find it. What makes it hard is that there is no step counter in HG/SS, so I don't know when I've gone those 65,536 steps. That's why I decided to use macros this time that would do the stepping for me accurately, but in the end, I got too bored of it as it is really time consuming, and just went straight north for a long time and eventually found Fake Johto/Kanto.
IMPORTANT TO KNOW FOR THOSE INTO TWEAKING/VOIDING: --------------------------------------------------------
- I entered the Void from Ecruteak City using a 43131 tweak and finding the door tile by going 8 steps north from the edge of the Abyss; you have to be in the middle of the road - you need to register Apricorn Box or something similar whole screen taking to get rid of blackouts - there's no step counter; at first I used a macro on my keyboard that goes exactly 100 steps north one-by-one (tested with Pearl's step counter), but later decided to just go north for around an hour (or actually less because I found it way before then) - each 100N steps taken one-by-one with the macro takes around 46 seconds (important to know if top screen goes black, so I won't mess up the 100N trying to reload graphics) - walk through walls code is on all the time in the Void, as there are too many invisible walls and traps in the HG/SS Voids
If you have any questions, you can leave them down below and I'll try my best to answer them as soon as possible.Tweaking/Void Glitch: Warp ZoneCrystalmourne2015-10-08 | Pokétch Comp Void: 430N, SR, 70000N, 32E, 3126N
(The video starts from the point where I'm 6 steps away from the place where the instructions lead you)
Warp Zone is a place in the Void where one step advances your map ID by 1. In this Warp Zone, you're first in Trainer's School, but after that going up and down one step each time, you can find all kinds of locations. But because the 76th step leads you to an autorun area that kicks you out of the Void, you cannot reach the map ID of Hall of Origin, which is 510 (there's a total of 588 maps in the game).
(Late) edit: HayatoZeT informed me in the comments below that you can actually increase the map IDs even if you move outside the Warp Zone, meaning that it is possible to go beyond the map ID I got to. However the map IDs will loop at 127 so it is still impossible to find a Hall of Origin with this Warp Zone.

ALSO, I AM NOT RESPONSIBLE IF YOU LOSE YOUR SAVE FILE IF YOU TRY THIS!
Just so you know, Battle Tower is kind of hard to find from the Void because it seems it isn't in the same place in all copies of the game. I have tried multiple instructions and none of them worked for me. I was just doing some traveling in the Void when I came across Battle Tower, so that's how I found it but you probably won't find it in the same place so only if you're willing to throw away like three hours of time with a high possibility of just wasting time, then you can do it.
What's interesting about Battle Tower Void is that you can open your menu in Mystery Zones. Well, the problem is that your steps won't count on the step counter there, so you would have to count them one by one in yourself. This Void also has lots of random tiles of grass, water, etc.
Remember that before entering the Void, you have to have used the Explorer Kit at least once! Voids can also be pretty unpredictable, causing freezes, blackouts and BSoDs, etc. Also, do not save and reset the game in the Void in places where you're not instructed to if you don't know what you're doing.
1. Follow instructions for Darkrai (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MxwRTl-bM90) until you have found Newmoon Isle for the second time. 2. Then from the same spot as in this video (near the isle). 3. Go 59,164 steps north. 4. Save and reset the game, and come back to your save file.Tweaking/Void Glitch: What is the VoidCrystalmourne2014-01-25 | Warnings and basic stuff about the Void glitch in the generation IV Pokémon games.Tweaking/Void Glitch: What is TweakingCrystalmourne2014-01-25 | Some basics about the tweaking glitch in the generation IV Pokémon games.Tweaking/Void Glitch: ??????? Do 13434 tweak in the loadlines 3. Surf east to the Abyss and in the Abyss just go as north as possible 4. Refresh graphics
You can't actually get to the ocean, because it is blocked by invisible wall. Even if you would go one step with WTW and then disable the code, you cannot get further. This is a pointless tweak, because you can't really do anything :P
This is actually one of the things I've found by myself (though I believe others have tried it before me, but I didn't do this with the help of others' instructions).Tweaking/Void Glitch: Ruin Maniac TunnelCrystalmourne2013-06-03 | Start from Galactic HQ Void (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rW45J-I_RpU): 1S, 15E, 60N, SR, 35S, 1N, 31W, refresh, 30W, 8S, 6E, face south, refresh, 1S, 1W
This is an easy way to get to the Ruin Maniac Tunnel, from where you can find ? and ! Unowns. Be careful with the steps, you can easily get stuck in the Void around the cave. You can get out of the cave by going south through the entrance to the cliff and using HM02 Fly, going east through the two cave entrances or using Escape Rope or TM28 Dig.Tweaking/Void Glitch: Floaroma Meadow TweakCrystalmourne2013-06-03 | 1. Go to Floaroma Town 2. Do 421312D21 tweak in the loadlines 3. Go up to the Abyss, up the stairs and near the grass near the north end 4. Refresh graphics
Invisible Abysses that are easier to do don't work because the Abyss it would create is inaccessible in this spot because of the Z-axis. This tweak is hard to do and you need a lot of practice in order to do it successfully.
(As you can see, my camera is recording my phone, lol. This was the first (or the second?) time I succeeded in doing this tweak (because you know, 421312D21 isn't that easy), so I did it with my phone that runs the game much slower.)Tweaking/Void Glitch: 3rd and 4th Jubilife Beta FloorCrystalmourne2013-06-03 | 430N, SR, 490E, 4940N, BSoD test, SR, 4940S, 490W, 416S
In one of these Jubilife City beta floors, you'll get a Focus Band. When your Pokémon gets hit with an attack that would make it faint, if it's holding a Focus Band, it won't faint but survives the attack with one HP. And again, walk through walls code is needed to explore these floors.Tweaking/Void Glitch: 2nd & 3rd Oreburgh Beta FloorCrystalmourne2013-06-03 | 430N, SR, 1500W, 1540S, BSoD test, SR, 1540N, 1500E, 375S, BSoD test, SR, 38S
Walk through walls code is needed to explore these two, but you can actually obtain an item from the 3rd floor: Hard Stone (boosts Rock-type moves by 20% when held).Tweaking/Void Glitch: Sunyshore Beta HouseCrystalmourne2013-06-03 | 430N, 4400E, 2400S, 1150E, BSoD test, SR, 2400N, 5550W, 416S
In Sunyshore City, there is a small beta building, instead of extra floors like in many buildings in Jubilife City etc. This building has couple placeholders in it + there is a placeholder outside the house a few steps to the east. None of these placeholders can be interacted with. You cannot interact with the woman or the man inside the house either. If you exit the building, you go inside the edge of the mountain northwest in Sunyshore City.Tweaking/Void Glitch: 4th & 5th Oreburgh Beta FloorCrystalmourne2013-06-03 | 430N, SR, 4440E, 2408S, 4930E, 12952S, BSoD test, SR, 15360N, 9330W, 415S
Again, walk through walls code is needed to explore the interior. In the third floor (which is a beta floor), you can find a guy that is outside the walls.Tweaking/Void Glitch: 1st & 2nd Jubilife Beta FloorCrystalmourne2013-04-20 | 430N, SR, 2380E, 2380S, 130W, 600S, BSoD test, SR, 2980N, 2250W, 416S
Jubilife City has multiple beta floors in different buildings. This building has two beta floors. Again, you'll need WTW.

If you load back from the last save you had to do to get to the Beta Great Marsh, you can continue from that point with the instructions above to get to the lower part of the Beta Great Marsh, which though isn't that interesting at all. It's just the part you cannot see from the Beta Great Marsh itself, so I got curious and made my own instructions to get there. At least now I know what was hidden from me, which was basically nothing :PTweaking/Void Glitch: Beta Great MarshCrystalmourne2013-04-20 | Start from Galactic HQ Void ( http://youtu.be/rW45J-I_RpU ): 1S, 14E, 20N, 2E, 10N, 2W, 30N, 30W, SR, 17W, 35S, refresh graphics, 2S (don't go these one by one), refresh graphics, 1S, 1S, 8E, 13N, 17W, 1N, 17E, 62N, SR, 5E, 63S, refresh graphics
Void Explorers have found the beta version of the Great Marsh that has been left in the game though isn't supposed to be accessible (but in reality is via the Void). Beta Great Marsh isn't that amazing of a place, but it's still nice to see beta areas. In the south end there's a building which you can't go through that made me wonder what was below it and led me to put a little effort in finding a way to get there (http://youtu.be/9h4zJDcGl8U, but I warn you, it's pointless to go there).Tweaking/Void Glitch: Galactic HQ Void entranceCrystalmourne2013-04-20 | 1. In the top left map of Veilstone, do 31212 tweak with 4th gear 2. From there, go next to the Abyss from on top of the higher ground and from in front of the house 3. Ride east and go to the right side of the sign and go 3N 4. Refresh graphics and push down
This Void is used in entering the Beta Great Marsh.Tweaking/Void Glitch: Route 227 GrassCrystalmourne2013-04-20 | 415W, SR, 338W, 700S, 500E, 405N, 13E
This is a place in the Void that has grass with the route 227 Pokémon. Once you get into battle, after that you will be trapped, but you can fly out.
Bulbapedia can help you with what Pokémon might attack you from the grass: http://bulbapedia.bulbagarden.net/wiki/Route_227#Pok.C3.A9monTweaking/Void Glitch: Lucass House Void entranceCrystalmourne2013-04-20 | 1. Go to Route 201 2. Put a Repel on and do 31212 tweak in the bush 3. Go just above the bottom tree next to the Abyss 4. Go 4E 7S 13E 2N 5. There are lots of other beta areas in the game in addition to the Beta Great Marsh. One example could be this house in Oreburgh that has an additional beta floor. The room itself isn't accessible without using cheats to walk through walls.
These are the lines the two say in this beta room: - "You remind me so much of the time I got my first Pokémon." - "The coal mine here's fully automated. Coal mining was brutally hard in the old days, but not anymore!"Tweaking/Void glitch: Valley Windworks Void entranceCrystalmourne2013-04-20 | 1. Go to Route 205, over the big grass area to on top of the platform to near the bridge 2. Do 43134 tweak with 3rd gear 3. Ride to the Valley Windworks 4. If it worked, the place should look like Floaroma Town 5. From on top of the sign, go on the second flower and walk three steps right 6. Refresh graphics and push downTweaking/Void Glitch: Beta LakeCrystalmourne2013-04-20 | 1. Go to the Valor Lakefront near the house where the girl has dropped her Suite Key 2. Do 34242 tweak in the loadlines 3. Go up and go surfing on the Abyss 4. Surf left and when you stop surfing, just keep walking left 5. When you're walking in the water, refresh graphics
There are tiles that aren't walkable, some that are surfable and some trees are walkable. This place is similar to the small lake near Twinleaf Town that can't be accessed through Abysses.Tweaking/Void Glitch: Oreburgh Player Sprite Glitch Through Triple TweakCrystalmourne2013-04-20 | This is the video that instructed me: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yicvW9bQiyk When you have done the triple tweak and go to Oreburgh, unmount your bike and then just walk around with your new glitched look. My player sprite looks different while glitching than in the video that instructed me, but it's still glitching :DTweaking/Void Glitch: Roark Event CrashCrystalmourne2013-04-20 | For those who have just started the Void adventures, this is probably going to be the first freeze you'll encounter. To not get this, you have to have used the Explorer Kit at least once before entering the Void. After that, this won't happen again.Tweaking/Void Glitch: Eterna City Soundtrack sounds weird in the VoidCrystalmourne2013-04-20 | 398N, SR, 1S, 5E, 398N, SR, 300S
This is not a beta soundtrack (like some people have thought), but only one of the channels of the Eterna City soundtrack. To let you compare the music, I flied away from the Void to the real Eterna City, but apparently the music continues that way until you change the area and come back. It was weird that when you mounted your bike, the music stopped completely.Tweaking/Void Glitch: Solaceon Town Day Care Area TweakCrystalmourne2013-04-20 | 1. Go two areas above and one area east of Solaceon Town 2. Put a Repel on 3. Do 31213 slowbike tweak in the loadlines 4. Cycle back to Solaceon Town and as you can see, the area above it is now different and you can get to Day Care Center Area 5. Refresh graphics
If you wonder whether you can interact with the Pokémon there, the answer is no. Remember to put a Repel on, because there is a really high chance of getting attacked by wild Pokémon (lots of grass you have to walk in).Tweaking/Void Glitch: Hall of FameCrystalmourne2013-04-20 | 430N, SR, 839W, 2065S, 83E, SR, 972N, SR, 1N
There are multiple different routes to the Hall of Fame, in which you "beat" the game. If winning the game for you only means getting to the Hall of Fame, you can skip the Elite Four and lots of hours of playing via the Void. An example of such is TAS, Tool Assisted Speedrun, in which you want to defeat the game as fast as possible by using any possible glitches in the game to help you get faster to the end. In a speedrun like this, you need to get a bike first in order to do the tweak to get to the Void and then beat the game via the Hall of Fame found from the Void.Tweaking/Void Glitch: Giratina RouteCrystalmourne2013-04-20 | 430N, 10W, SR, 300S, SR, 116S (don't go the last steps one by one), refresh graphics, step down
Via the Void, Giratina can be obtained as early as two hours into the game from its place, Turnback Cave (TBC). If you are doing this early in the game and you don't have HM02 Fly, then you should get an Abra that can use TM31 Teleport and a Ponyta with the ability Run Away. You have to have played the game until you have these items:
- Pokétch - Rock Smash - Bicycle - Explorer Kit - Escape Rope
You need to have used the Explorer Kit before going to the Void, or the game will crash before reaching the 430N, which is the first part of the travel in the Void.
Turnback Cave is a lot faster to get to compared to the places of the event Pokémon Darkrai and Shaymin, but trying to find Giratina from the cave itself can be annoying. You have to find three rooms which have a pillar within 30 tries and only then can you find Giratina in the next room you'll enter. Giratina is a level 70 Ghost/Dragon Pokémon.Tweaking/Void Glitch: Stickymans Spear Pillar Hall of OriginCrystalmourne2013-04-19 | 430N, SR, 70 000N, 2912E, SR, 4894S, 2816W
After those steps be really careful, because you can easily get stuck to the walls. I used Walk Through Walls at the end of video (you hear me changing bike gears) when I got stuck a lot but tried to not use it when it was possible.
Arceus cannot be found from here and saving here will leave you trapped so don't do it!Tweaking/Void Glitch: BlackoutCrystalmourne2013-04-18 | Some places in the Void cause both of your screens to go black. This is called a blackout. Blackouts are harmless, but annoying because they interrupt you if you're counting steps with the Step Counter in your Pokétch (even though the steps keep on going in the counter, you cannot see them). To make the blackout go away, you need to keep traveling in the Void until you hear the Jubilife music. Then do the same as you would do to refresh the graphics (choose something from the menu except save or exit and come back). Remember to be sure where you've gone those steps so you know where you are on your route if you're going to a certain place.
