Rhino High Fidelity Black Sabbath Review
The new release in the Rhino High Fidelity Series is Black Sabbath's self titled debut. It was limited to 5,000 numbered copies and has unfortunately sold out in record time. It was gone in five days, and has attracted flippers who are trying to make a buck by jacking it up to $150 and beyond. Hopefully there will be a non numbered pressing at some point in the future for those who missed out. I do think Rhino should look at increasing numbers on certain titles going forward so that everyone who wants one can get one.
In this video I will give you my impressions of this version of this iconic, groundbreaking record.
The Rhino High Fidelity release is cut from the original analog master tape (US) by Kevin Gray at Cohearant Audio, pressed on 180gm vinyl at Optimal Media in Germany, and presented in a heavyweight Stoughton style high gloss tip on gatefold jacket with exclusive insert with commentary by engineer Tom Allom. It is a limited numbered edition of 5,000.
