#DYK black rhinos, Ayana, Tumani and Kamara, receive weekly "spa" days during the winter months? Typically rhinos wallow in mud to not only protect their skin from the sun, but also to keep it healthy. Since mud is more limited during the colder months our Large Mammal team gives each rhino a bath once a week. These baths help remove dead skin as well as keeps each rhino nice and moisturized 🦏🧼
