A strong team with the Bundeswehr: Boosting its logistics capabilities, the German Army relies increasingly on Rheinmetall MAN’s HX pure military trucks. Known in German as “Wechselladersysteme”, or WLS, the palletised load-handling systems are the latest addition to more than 3,000 HX 6x6 and 8x8 Unprotected Transport Vehicles, or UTFs, already fielded.
The WLS in both protected and unprotected variants are a critically important component of NATO’s Very High Readiness Joint Task Force VJTF 2023, which the Bundeswehr will be furnishing.
The new unprotected heavy equipment tractor “Elefant 2”, which is currently also being introduced complements the picture and acts as a key enabler for all-terrain heavy haulage.
Today, more than 15,000 HX tactical trucks by Rheinmetall MAN Military Vehicles (RMMV) are in service with various armies around the world.
