For my final DS Sunday instalment of the week, it is my great pleasure to present an album of epic medieval dungeon ambience, from US artist Reyhan.
Releasing to cassette on 7th September through Edge of the Wild Records, A Knight in Exile tells the story of the titular lord on his path towards redemption.
Featuring motifs from traditional folk tunes and the fascinating faded tone of old school, the 10 tracks of this album take the mind’s eye and ears into a distant past of stone walls, tattered banners and a quest that reaches far beyond the fields and meadows of the castle, into darkening forests and damp caves and a long road toward a dark and rising tower.
A grand adventure, told in masterful detail.
