I had a gut feeling this entire time that we'd be able to acquire the Sport and Safari Balls in the DLC, as was the case during Sword and Shield. If you have a save file with a given Poke Portal news, and you do not go online with it, the Tera Raid(s) and/or outbreak(s) will continue to happen indefinitely. As such, I made pre-emptive save backups for each and every Tera Raid Battle before the Indigo Disk DLC.
With that in mind, I spent a long amount of time strategizing over each and every raid, looking back on tactics and how to best handle things, and decided on the following additional notes.
1. I have two Switch systems, and cannot go online due to the aforementioned ex post facto nature of this gauntlet. If two systems are used, I was playing both in parallel.
2. Pokemon HOME, Teal Mask, and/or Indigo Disk weren't out at the time of some of these fights happening. Thus, I have more than just the ability to use Sport and Safari Ball-- I'm able to use whatever combination of species and TMs I so desire, something that wasn't present before! One example of this is using Serperior against Pikachu, which was not originally a thing.
3. I did the fights in Sport Ball also, but decided to just record the Safari Ball sets for the sake of consistency.
4. The Scale value of these pokemon is almost always hard coded to 128, meaning they will be at the exact middle value of how big or small a Pokemon can be. There are two exceptions, however-- Regular (not Hisui) Typhlosion is always at the minimum value, and Pikachu has a 1 in 16 chance according to Anubis of being max Scale. I revisited the Pikachu raids twice more offscreen to ensure I walked away with the mark qualifying ones.
5. I'd like to give a special thank you to @ShadowMario3 for not only posting videos at the time of when we did all these raids, but for also helping me strategize and granting me notes on the methods we used. While I didn't use the exact same strategies (see note 2 for example), his overall thought process and comprehensive documentation were critical to getting this project done.
Additional thanks go out to Unknown Warrior for his confirmation that the general concept of ex post facto Safari/Sport rareball Unrivaled Mightiest Mark 7 star raids is even possible, and Randomdice101, Somnus, and Stepbro for strategizing, both when the raids were current, and when I bugged you guys after it all for the sake of this hellish challenge.
