If you build RC planes, quadcopters, drones or any kind of model which requires the fitting of delicate electronics then this device might pay for itself very quickly. In testing it showed that it would turn off the power to a device that drew in excess of the switchable 1A or 3A threshold within just 20mS (1/50th of a second). This makes it far more effective than the old trick of just using an automotive light-bulb in series with the battery.
