I put this knife through stuff I normally do in the woods for almost two months. I documented six tasks: Creating a bow and drill set, scraping fat lighter'd shavings and ferro rod ignition, chopping ability, carving a bucksaw, improvising a drawknife, and lashing a spear/extended chopping tool.

Please see William's comment below about his changes to the prototype which I used in this review. The point is more Kephart-like, the hot spot remedied, along with the choil.
