Nikon has just released the ZR cinema camera - a camera that combines Nikon and RED video technology, including RED colour science and in-camera R3D NE recording.

To put it through its paces, we set up a shoot with a ballerina in a studio, complete with a rain machine. After spending time getting familiar with it, we can confidently say it’s something quite special.

But the real question remains: how does it stack up against the competition?
