It also works in singleplayer, but this map is where I did it the first time almost 2 years ago, so I went there as nostalgia :D
Basically you get cfg (Crouch Fly Glitch), then you exit the funnel, re-enter it, lose the cfg, and you can go to the direction you want as long as you stay in the funnel.
