In Revelation 19, John witnesses a massive rejoicing in Heaven. He is impressed by the multitude that shout in joy over the final destruction over the mysterious Babylon. Then, he sees a much larger congregation of saints shouting in joy over the marriage of the Lamb. The contrast between these groups is focused on the judgment of the harlot versus the glory of the wife of the Lamb. Heaven is astir over the Lamb's marriage and the supper that follows. Who is the wife? Why does the great multitude speak of her in the third person? Why do they not say: "We have made ourselves ready!"? Instead, they say "She hath made herself ready."
