In Matthew 24: 21–22 Jesus says this:
“For then there will be great tribulation, such as has not been from the beginning of the world until now, no, and never will be.
And if those days had not been cut short, no human being would be saved.
But for the sake of the elect those days will be cut short.”
This is a passage I’ve wondered about for years.
It can’t really mean that the Tribulation will be shortened in length — that the actual time will be reduced — otherwise, no one would survive.
And yet, if it does mean exactly what it says, then it must refer to the beginning of the Tribulation, not the end.
It appears... that it "means what it says."
