Ever since I've tried uploading long videos, they've just been giving me problems. A week ago I was publishing this, but THEN somehow it messed up - leading me to retracting the video and redoing it. Then guess what? I had holiday plans to go travelling overseas for the holidays, pushing this video back to where it is.
Hopefully y'all ain't too upset with the delay (as well as the delay to Undertale DDD Eps 5 too...)
With that, I'm gonna put my foot down right here and continue Undertale DDD eps 5 AT LAST! (So yea, no more DDLC parts.... yet)

My gosh has it been a while. I could use the cliche excuse of life is holding me up but actually, there have been numerous factors that have been holding me up.
- I gotta admit, Monster Kid was pretty hard to create into a genocide fight. I believe this is the first time (Excluding Eanaro) that I had no main existing template (that monster kid has) to work with in terms of attacks. The only template I could use, were vague re-creations of attacks of the monsters in Waterfall. I also made vague references to Rumias attacks, but it was difficult making them hard (Considering shes stage one material, and Monster Kid here is stage 3/4)
- I also had difficulty making the fight reasonably hard (or, look hard in this case). After making Toriel, Papyrus and Eanaro, the pressure of making something harder came into mind... And as I was making Monster Kid, I had doubts on it being too easy or bland.
- Which links up with the fact that, yea... I sorta lost determination halfway. Took me a while to pick up where I left off... But hopefully this doesnt happen with [Insert Next Monster]s fight.
- Oh and, it took forever animating a [certain monster]s sprite. I had to assemble [Their] sprite on Microsoft PowerPoint... Nuff said.
Oh, and cant forget to mention lyfe, but eh... I can only use that reason so many times.
Now, with that out of the way, Im relieved to push past - what I consider, the most tedious genocide fight I would ever make (as the plan goes). With the completion of Monster Kid, it has also opened up several opportunities for different fights. One of which is a *gasp* distortion event...
Anyways, onwards we go!

Undertale DDD Info
What seemed like an easy win for you, was overturned by the sudden arrival of an unexpected hero: Goner Kid. After seeing the countless timelines of you massacring everyone, he’s decided to fight back; grieving to ever allow you to kill another monster again. He takes advantage of the space-time distortion to get into the game and possess monster kid, the only feasible vessel he has. And with that, “Foregone Kid” was born.
Attacks deal little damage but are quite gimmicky. Expect a lot of surprises and unorthodox attacks. Not to mention the darkness... He has incorporated bits and pieces of existing attacks from the Waterfall monsters. Familiarise yourself with those patterns and you should be able to avoid disaster.
“The idea of Foregone Kid came from the concept of combining Monster Kid with his ‘Gaster-esque’ version “Goner Kid”. It was the only way to justify Monster kid ever having those powers in a fight. It was also to justify Monster Kid ever being in a fight in the first place. His attacks are based on Rumia’s attacks and also from the attacks from the monsters found in Waterfall. Why Rumia? Well, see that bow on Monster Kid’s head? Reminds me of Rumia’s amulet.”

With Novermber out of the way, I can now present this piece of work!
Honestly, this was way more different from any of the other ones I have made. This one is also more story-heavy than the other ones, so if youre not used to seeing episodes that are 50% more story than fighting - sorry to say but this isnt gonna be your cup of tea. Besides, I aim to give this series a bit of character than just flashing out stand-alone fights.
This episode involves Eanaro, a mysterious individual that works under the system. His overall role is vague however and barely exists within the main route....... Until this distortion event happened.
Hes also a lot more Touhou-y than the others (no hes not a girl). This time, however, was more of a deliberate choice than compromising for Undertales lack of desirable bullet and sound assets.
Believe it or not, this required A LOT of work. As such, It wont be a surprise if you see the next episode in... A month maybe? Hopefully I can dish one out in 2-3 weeks...

This event takes place before Undyne’s event. You play as Chara (naturally).
Eanaro is essentially a less difficult Gaster. He doesn’t attack you via tricky SOUL mechanics like Gaster does, but rather attacks you with dense waves of bullets. That being said, Eanaro can’t be attacked, as he’ll repel it back with an unblockable counter. The only way to defeat him, is to let time pass.
“Eanaro’s character was made externally from Undertale; he existed before I had the idea to put him in here. Eanaro is quite a dramatic person, fighting theatrically rather than efficiently, which you could say is one of his flaws. If it ain’t flashy, it ain’t worth using, unless if the situation is absolutely dire. His event actually won’t occur until you beat Undyne. Even then, it’s a 1/128 chance you get to encounter him. Once you face him, you can’t encounter him again (Unless you do a reset). Inspiration? Konngara obviously. The way he swings his umbrella, several of his attack patterns - were deliberately designed to be similar to Konngaras attacks in Touhou HRtP. Hence why I chose Swordsman of a Distant Star as the battle music. In fact, some other of his attacks and the design of his battke were meant to be references to the game Highly Responsive to Prayers. Why does he carry an umbrella? I guess you could say, it fits with his... Shady appearance. Hurhurhurhur~ But for reals, its just something I decided to associate him with.")

A remix of Crescent Dream, the Unused Staff Roll theme of Lotus Land Story, with a slice of Eternal Dream ~ Mystical Maple - the Staff Roll theme of Imperishable Night thrown into the mix.
Im pretty happy with this one. In a way I see it as evidence that Im slowly getting better at this whole music-making gig (I hope). My Fl Studio project is less of a mess (its still kinda messy), and I had the mindset to add in some ambient sounds this time. I did think of ways of extending this remix, but I decided that at 4 minutes, without another full loop, itd be enough.

I wanted to make a song signifying the end of an era. With Season 1 coming to a full close and Season 2 on the horizon, I thought it fitting to remix a Staff Roll theme that I found quite enjoyable and... way underrated. That being Crescent Dream.
Crescent Dream always had a soft spot in my heart. Just the somber, nostalgic way it sounded thatd make for a good audible lullaby. Plus, such a gem was both unused and underrated... What a shame! Then again, ZUN had quite a lot of unused, hidden gems that only the most dedicated Touhou fans can find and appreciate.
I decided to also throw in a bit of Eternal Dream ~ Mystic Maple into the mix, because just from hearing the two back-to-back, I figured that they could potentially go well together. And they did! Not only that, but Eternal Dream came from Imperishable Night. You know what else came from IN? The debut of Last Words in Touhou. Thus, its natural that I include Eternal Dream into this song. If you also pay close attention, I used PC-98 instruments for the main melody in Eternal Dream. A bit of a switcheroo, yknow?
Space was the main theme for this remix. The feeling of viewing the wonders of the universe; the endless glittering stars in the sky among the gleaming nebula, from under the clearest night sky, or as youre drifting slowly across space - weightless and free. As such this song uses a lot of reverb, sci-fi ambient noises, and is generally echo-y. My first few iterations had a bit of a volume and balancing problem, due to the use of a lot of instruments that had lots of reverb. Im still learning to let go of the mentality that: Lots of Instruments + High Volume = Excellence. It may sound powerful, but so does a nuclear explosion. But overall, Im happy with this resonant, space ambience that I got in the final iteration.
Overall, Im happy. It was both a learning experience and another avenue to push out yet another musical project; my third one!
I have plans to make another music remix - and this one also has a soft spot in my heart. But thats for another time.

It was experimental and unorthodox to what I usually do, but from what Ive seen - stepping outta your boundaries really pays off! Just not too far. “More dialogue music for Season 2! This one will play during the more sombre moments, and maybe even some moments of anticipation – but not necessarily trepidation.
This piece is slightly special to me in that it spawned in a time during the creational process of this episode, where… I wasn’t in the best mindset. To sugar-coat it a little: sometime during this year, my determination levels with my own life were at an all-time low. It does happen to me a lot, doesn’t it? Happens to everyone; life’s a rollercoaster – much to my PastKing35’s naive self. But I was waiting forever for that ride to finally reach an exhilarating inclination. But hey, let this be known: there will be brighter times ahead. After all, I’ve come out of that whole mess with a DDD episode I can be proud of, a job, and a sturdy resolve on how I would tackle Undertale DDD – so as to not burnout, as I was at risk of doing so before. Sure, it’ll take even longer, but that’s literally life. So long as you don’t stop crawling, you’re going forwards. And besides, knowing there will be at least one person awaiting the next episode… How could I disappoint them?
But man, I would never wish to ever go back to months prior ever again. What a deep pit of despair that was. And so, this song’s creation was inspired by all that commotion. Hence the name: Destinies in Limbo. Cause that’s what the state of Undertale DDD and my own life was like during those months… Limbo. Trudging through the proverbial endless void… Like a certain scientist. Which is also why I based the main motif on Him. The other inspiration? You are not going to believe this: There’s a song in Fate/CCC, and I used it as the foundation for… most of the song. The tempo, the beat, even the instruments. I listened to it one time, and I was like: ‘This has everything. This sense of trepidation, yet tranquillity. The fact that it comes from yet another beloved franchise. Now it just needs a little DDD-ness to it.’ Man, Undertale DDD is just my excuse to fanboy my favourite games.
Anyways, this song is repetitive in nature, because I needed something that could loop in the background whilst the player reads dialogue – without it drawing too much attention to itself. Trust me, if a song has too much going on, it gets tiring fast. Now, everything’s nice, mellow, and blends into itself well for hours of audible fun! Aw, but it’s lost some of that ‘feeling of trepidation’ that the original [Omen] song had. I tried different keys as well to make it sound sadder, but I suppose Gaster’s themes and motifs make things… uplifting? How on earth did I achieve that? A calm Gaster theme?! I truly broke space-time. But I like it. It’s still chill & meditative, but its more ‘anticipation’ than a ‘premonition’ now, which is fine in the cruise-y Pacifist route.
Oh? What of the video that accompanies this song? Naturally, these three are going to be key in Season 2. And as Radically different as they are from each other, they are bound by a singular destiny. One that is currently in Limbo. And so they wait… And oh, they’ve been waiting for a very long time…
