Leaving home has taught me how to feel at home in myself. And now coming back to Byron Bay in Australia, the town I grew up in is teaching me how much I’ve changed. There has been a quiet disorientation within me since returning home— it is as though the place that shaped me no longer fits who I am becoming. This has lead me to reflect on belonging, identity and what home truly means.
Amidst the myriad of emotions stirred from returning home, I have found a sense of comfort in the routines and habits that fuel my life here in Byron. My morning journaling, planting seedlings and watering the garden, making nutritious and fresh meals, moving my body and devoting myself to the creative dreams I wish to bring to life.
May we count our blessings when we feel unsettle, trust our intuition and continue moving forward, even when the path feels unclear. If you’re navigating a season of change, questioning your sense of belonging, moving through a period of personal growth, or also returning home after time away, I hope this video can offer you some comfort, inspiration or resonance.
I hope it reminds you that it is okay to feel conflicted, tender, and alive— all at once.
Thank you for journeying with me.I am endlessly grateful for your presence here, and I hope you’ve had a gentle start to 2026.
Sending my love,
Cam x
