Make the journey back, iterate again
I knew for a long time this would be the intro song to something, but it certainly took some time for this project to materialize. Out of all the tracks on this album this one probably had the corniest project name - "Mega Ambient." Not my best attempt at a name but slightlyyy better than "Kalimba Type Beat" or "Kinda Janky Synthwave." When I was streaming everyone in chat had much better song name ideas. Even as an intro track, this informed a lot about the sound of the album for me. I even used the melody as a reoccurring motif that can be heard in several other tracks in the album. For me, Return Guided essentially means to try again. Even though I wasn't able to finish this album for a long time, it doesn't mean I can't ever come back to old ideas.
