On the 22nd of September 1994, Edward Said presented the first Nexus Lecture in Tilburg. Upcoming 28th of September, exactly thirty years and six days after the first lecture, Nobel Prize winner Orhan Pamuk will speak the Institutes thirtieth lecture, called Novels, Museums and the Idea of Europe.

In honour of our 30th anniversary, we take a look at the past. We return to our dawn and revisit the first crucial moments in the history of the Nexus Institute. Grab a comfy chair, and enjoy four minutes of righteous nostalgia.
