Retro Video Game Controller Repair & Evolution

Part 1 - Introduction to the series.

I'm making a retro video game controller cleaning, repair and evolution series of around 3 parts. The controllers shown are in desperate need of a clean so we'll start with that but also tear them down and restore the response of the buttons to make them feel new again. In a later video in this series, I will take a look back at the controller evolution and how things have changed. We now have DPads, Shoulder buttons, Triggers, Expansion bays, Dual Analog Sticks and Ergonomics that just work. How did this all this technology creep into the controllers we use today... let's take a look back.
