This is my new project I call the Retro PSU that is geared to replace all PSU boards used in many Raspberry Pi handheld/portable gaming systems such as the adafruit PowerBoost series. These adafruit boards are great boards but don't meet today's needs for power for the Raspberry Pi 3 B or the new B+ and for other Pi boards like the Banana Pi and Orange Pi which require at least 2A to function properly.
The Retro PSU can output up to 3.5A from a single Lipo battery, it can also charge the battery at 1A an hour. On board is also the ADS1015 that if connected to the Pi I2C pins can monitor the battery and display it on an screen display like it mintyPi battery monitor. The ADS1015 is also used in this board to hookup an analog stick to your project, I will have software soon setup to enable both features. Special thanks to othermod for his analog stick code and Bluup for making the scripts used in the software for both features.
