Welcome to the Halloween episode! Tonight, we're taking a peek at a system that smelt like death as it hit the console market. The Sega Saturn. The Saturn was home to a lot of Sega's 32 Bit Arcade library of video games, and had some excellent ports.
I wanted to review a few special, multiplayer horror video games specifically for the Saturn and I've uncovered 5 perfect party games for the system.

House of the Dead - Sega
The essential on-rails light gun game for the Sega Saturn, and well, any Retro Halloween Horror Party. The original House of the Dead Arcade game was only ported to PC and Sega Saturn. So this stands as one of the best single-best ways to enjoy this arcade shooter. Complete with the Sega Saturn Stunner and a friend, this title will take you right back to the arcades.

Henry's Explorers (Crypt Killer) - Konami
A few years before House of the Dead bought the full haunted mansion experience to the arcades, Konami released Crypt Killer, also known as Henry's Explorers in Japan. You need to navigate 8 different stages, filled with monsters, ghouls and demons to uncover treasure.

Battle Monsters - Naxatsoft
A 2D fighting game in the same vein as Mortal Kombat. Digitized and claymation monsters go head-to-head in multiple stages. Complete with monstrous special moves and some unique stage deaths, the Battle Monsters is a unique Sega Saturn fighting title.

Vampire Hunter & Vampie Savior (Darkstalkers) - Capcom
Capcom have been long considered the staple of 2D beat 'em ups, ruling the roost with their Street Fighter series since the 90's. Thankfully for fans of their beat 'em up titles, we've seen Capcom experiment with a few other approaches, such as the Marvel Superheroes and my favourite, the Darkstalkers series.
Bringing that same level of detail, fun and imagination into a horror themed fighting title, Capcom have created a unique arcade experience that captures the spirit of Halloween and makes the ultimate multiplayer party game.
