This customer originally ordered the Retract-A-Gate because it is one of the few gates that can actually cover an opening that is 6 feet wide. She loved it so much; she ordered another gate from retract-a-gate.com for her other stair case. They work wonderfully! All she needs is one free hand, and she can operate the gate when she is carrying the little one, groceries, laundry etc.
