Signets have been a mysterious concept in Guild Wars since 2005. Instead of using signets to give authentication to official documents, they are containers of various spell effects. In Guild Wars lore, their shape and size is unknown. In Guild Wars gameplay, they are spell-like powers with no physical appearance. The game's artwork vaguely hints signet shapes to be both rings and non-ring trinkets.
