The poem by Berlin-based poet, curator, dancer, radio host & overall creative soul Jumoke Adeyanju is a reflection on the impermanence of life and the inevitability of tragedy and loss. Jumoke explores the idea that sometimes it is easier to give in to drowning rather than fighting against it. She touches on the themes of solitude, love, and self-discovery, and suggests that rebirth and growth can come from accepting and embracing the darkness within oneself.
