The Lost Woods of the Low Weald and Downs is bringing together local volunteers to help conserve a beautiful ancient woodland near Storrington - Hareswith Pond. The woods were bequeathed to Croydon’s Old Town Youth Club a century ago, and the club has been working hard to restore the woods so that more young people can enjoy it. Cathy Cross from the Action in Rural Sussex Lost Woods team, explains how caring for our natural places is just as important as looking after our old monuments and buildings. The Lost Woods is made possible thanks to the National Lottery Heritage Fund.
