Everyone calls it a scroll saw today, but this old Dremel tool says otherwise. I picked up this rusted-out “Moto Jig Saw” from decades past and brought it back to life. This vintage Dremel Model 8 may not look like today’s jigsaws or scroll saws—but that’s where the fun starts.

I’ll show you the full restoration process, explain the history behind the name “jig saw,” and talk about how tool names have changed over time. Whether you're a tool nerd, vintage restoration fan, or just here to argue in the comments, you're welcome.
