I knew this day would come.
March 23, 2011 was the worst day of my life. I lost the one thing that ever matter to me the most, Grace. She was the most beautiful and intelligent creature I ever laid eyes on. I enjoyed feeding her human food. Cookies seemed to be her favorite. She hasn't been missing from my sister, Taylor, and I's lives. I can always feel her present around us. What troubles me the most is seeing two horses, one black and one white, but missing the only brown horse we have. Her Absences is what makes me grief over her to this day. Just a month ago, February 21 around 10:30pm, she came to me in a dream. She looked fee and happy. She was running, her mane and tail were flowing with the wind. It was like she was reaching out to me because I was in a huge depression stage in the beginning of Feb. More onto what had happened.
She fell and wasn't able to get back up. With her being 27 years old, the vet said, "Once she's down, She's done". We tried our hardest to get her up and out of the mud pit. I knew she wanted to make us proud by getting up but she was too weak to even move. The only thing there was to do was to end her pain and suffering. I stroked her softly, keeping her calm while the medicine was injected into her. Her body started to shake and her eyes started to water. I held her closely and spoke softly, "Goodbye Grace. I will see you soon. I love you".
And then, she drifted away.

Rest in Peace, Grace.
