In La Gloria, Mexico, sugar harvesting can be dangerous, and labor conditions are often challenging. Nestlé’s Responsible Sourcing program tracks the ingredients through the factories to the suppliers, all the way through to the farming plantations. At Nestlé, we work with our partners Proforest and ABC Mexico to ensure our commitments to ethics and sustainable practices are realized through eradicating child labor, ensuring the safety of field workers, and improving the workers’ housing conditions.
