I tried to smash my epoxy resin scraps… and very quickly discovered that resin does NOT want to be smashed! 😂 After two years of collecting resin waste, failed pieces, jewellery bits, miniatures, skulls, flowers, cogs and random crafting “poop”, I decided it was finally time to sort the stash and see what I could actually reuse.
The smashing experiment was an absolute disaster, so naturally I did what any sensible crafter would do… found the biggest mould I could and stuffed the resin scraps inside it! And somehow, from all that chaos, came the cutest antique-looking resin duck. 🦆
In this video I'm experimenting with resin recycling, resin scraps, resin waste, resin crafts, moulding, mica powder, black resin, gold mica, miniature crafts and upcycling leftover craft materials — with a healthy amount of things going completely wrong along the way.
And yes… Stanley Duck needs a name! 😂
Should his beak be orange, or should I leave him looking like worn antique brass? And what should I make him into next?
