This session aims to strengthen gender-responsive climate governance and policymaking as essential pillars of a just transition. Drawing from youth-led research under the COP30 Simulation Programme, it seeks to advance concrete policy pathways to ensure that women’s leadership, safety, and equitable participation are embedded across adaptation, mitigation, and finance mechanisms. The objective is to move beyond symbolic inclusion toward transformative gender justice that redefines how climate transitions are designed, funded, and implemented.
