It's Resident Evil 0. As far as classic Resident Evil games go, it's tough, but the game is available on many platforms. Let's see the gameplay here and figure out what went wrong on your end.
Ah. I see what you're doing wrong here. You don't run away when you are surrounded by zombies. Run away from them. You don't have to kill them all. In fact, you most likely won't have enough resources to kill those zombies. It's a survival horror game, and you're not playing as someone who is an absolute badass killing zombies left and right. Not in this game at least.
Just by the way you play the game shows how clueless you are. This is why I say that just playing the game itself is not enough to become a fan. You need to understand the game, and this person clearly doesn't understand it.
