Resident Evil Requiem is a survival horror game developed and published by Capcom. It is the ninth main Resident Evil game, following Resident Evil Village (2021). It features a new protagonist, FBI analyst Grace Ashcroft, who investigates the remains of Raccoon City with the help of the federal agent Leon S. Kennedy.
Gameplay alternates between Grace and Leon. Grace's missions continue the first-person survival horror of Resident Evil 7: Biohazard (2017) and Resident Evil Village as she evades monsters inside a hotel. Leon's missions are action-oriented, similar to games such as Resident Evil 4 (2005), as he battles zombies from a third-person perspective.
Requiem was directed by Koshi Nakanishi, the director of Resident Evil 7. It was conceived as an open-world online multiplayer game, but was restarted as a more conventional single-player Resident Evil game in 2021. Requiem was developed with the RE Engine and was the first Resident Evil game designed for ninth-generation consoles. It marked Leon's first major appearance since Resident Evil 6 (2012), and he was redesigned to appear older.
Resident Evil Requiem was announced in July 2024 and unveiled at Summer Game Fest in June 2025. It is scheduled for release on Nintendo Switch 2, PlayStation 5, Windows, and Xbox Series X/S on February 27, 2026.
Call of Duty (CoD) is a first-person shooter military video game series and media franchise published by Activision, starting in 2003. The games were first developed by Infinity Ward, then by Treyarch and Sledgehammer Games. Several spin-off and handheld games were made by other developers. The most recent, Call of Duty: Black Ops 7, was released on November 14, 2025.
The series originally focused on a World War II setting, with Infinity Ward developing Call of Duty (2003) and Call of Duty 2 (2005) and Treyarch developing Call of Duty 3 (2006). Infinity Ward's Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare (2007) introduced a modern setting and proved to be the breakthrough title for the series, creating the Modern Warfare sub-series; a Modern Warfare remastered version was released in 2016. Two other entries, Modern Warfare 2 (2009) and Modern Warfare 3 (2011), were made. The sub-series received a reboot with Modern Warfare in 2019, Modern Warfare II in 2022, and Modern Warfare III in 2023. Infinity Ward has also developed two games outside of the Modern Warfare sub-series, Ghosts (2013) and Infinite Warfare (2016).
Treyarch made one last World War II-based game, World at War (2008), before releasing Black Ops (2010) and subsequently creating the Black Ops sub-series. Six more entries, Black Ops II (2012), Black Ops III (2015), Black Ops 4 (2018), Black Ops Cold War (2020), Black Ops 6 (2024), and Black Ops 7 (2025) were made, the latter three in conjunction with Raven Software. Sledgehammer Games, which were co-developers for Modern Warfare 3, have also developed three titles, Advanced Warfare (2014), WWII (2017), and Vanguard (2021). They are also the lead developer for Modern Warfare III (2023), the third entry in the Modern Warfare reboot sub-series.
As of October 2023, Call of Duty has sold over 500 million copies and has 100 million monthly active players across all platforms. The franchise generated $30 billion in revenue by 2022. The series is verified by the Guinness World Records as the best-selling first-person shooter game series. It is also the most successful video game franchise created in the United States and the third best-selling video game franchise of all time. Other products in the franchise include a line of action figures designed by Plan B Toys, a card game created by Upper Deck Company, Mega Bloks sets by Mega Brands, and a comic book miniseries published by WildStorm Productions, and a feature film in development.

Call of Duty: Black Ops 7 is a first-person shooter game co-developed by Treyarch and Raven Software and published by Activision. It is the twenty-second installment of the Call of Duty series and is the eighth main entry in the Black Ops sub-series, following Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 (2024). Set in 2035, Black Ops 7s story—playable in single-player or co-op—will follow a team of agents led by David Mason in the aftermath of Call of Duty: Black Ops II (2012). As with previous Call of Duty titles, the game will also include a multiplayer component and the cooperative round-based Zombies mode.
Development on Black Ops 7 took place concurrently with the production of Black Ops 6, with both titles being green-lit at the same time. Marketing for the title began in June 2025 with the release of a cinematic trailer during the 2025 Xbox Games Showcase event; a full reveal debuted on August 19, at Gamescom. Black Ops 7 is scheduled for release on November 14, 2025, for PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Windows, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S.
Call of Duty: Black Ops 7—like its predecessor, Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 (2024)—will be a first-person shooter. Depending on the game mode selected, players use near-future military equipment, such as weapons, field upgrades, and scorestreaks, to combat AI opponents, other human players, or undead creatures. Players can traverse a level/map omnidirectionally, and can perform wall jumps off of select walls;[3] in a change from Black Ops 6, the Tactical Sprint movement option—a limited-duration boost of speed allowing faster movement than the standard sprint—has been removed from the core movement, but is accessible as an optional in-game perk.
Black Ops 7 features three primary game modes: a single-player/co-op campaign, a multiplayer component and the cooperative round-based Zombies mode. Playable with up to four players, the campaign sees players take control of a JSOC unit led by David Section Mason. The campaign features 11 total missions; completing all missions unlocks access to the Endgame activity, which puts up to 32 players in the city of Avalon and tasks them with completing a series of objectives within a strict time limit. Players can bring a customized loadout with them into Endgame, but if they die, they lose access to their gear. In addition, for the first time in the franchise, the campaign features shared progression with the multiplayer and Zombies modes, allowing players to gain experience points (XP) and level up their global ranks, weapons, and seasonal battle passes.
The multiplayer component puts, in most cases, two teams of six (6v6) against each other across 16 maps; the objective-based Skirmish mode allows for 20v20 combat on two dedicated maps. Players have access to 30 customizable loadout weapons; once players reach a weapons maximum level, they can Prestige said weapon, which will unlock a series of cosmetic items, such as weapon camos and charms, but re-lock all available attachments. New to Black Ops 7s multiplayer is the Overclock upgrade system, which grants additional abilities to a players selection of lethal and tactical equipment, scorestreaks, and field upgrades. In Zombies, one to four players fight endless hordes of the undead across a large-scale map, which can be traversed using a Wonder Vehicle; the mode will also include a selection of smaller-scale survival maps and a new iteration of the top-down Dead Ops Arcade game mode.
