🎥 Re-Score: Heretic - Horror - Escape/Scene 🎶
This video is a re-score — a newly composed soundtrack replacing the original — created by me as a composer to reimagine the music for two scenes from the film Heretic (2024).
The goal was to explore new emotions and atmospheres through music, reshaping the way each moment feels on screen.
In the first scene, where the girls speak with Mr. Reed in a quiet, tense room, I used dark synthesizers, ambient textures, and subtle breathing-like effects to evoke psychological pressure and restrained anxiety.
In the second, set in the attic, the tone shifts: a ritualistic percussion enters, and a faint ticking sound (like a clock) hints that time is running out. The rhythm subtly accelerates to heighten the suspense — escape or doom?
