Repurpose PDF for InDesign or Publisher with PDFMarkz. Repurposing PDF files for Adobe InDesign or Affinity Publisher layout applications is a weekly, if not daily task, for many graphic designers. When a customer says, "Re-create the design to look like 'this PDF' but with a new logo and with different text here and there," it is tempting to just open InDesign or Publisher and re-create the graphic design layout.
What if I told you there was a way to convert that PDF into a new InDesign layout? Would you believe me? Well, there is and not just to import or place the PDF, like Adobe InDesign offers, but to actually convert all colors, fonts, and images, with live text and all used elements!
I had a PDF from the Grote Clubactie, in The Netherlands, for our local soccer club, OLIVEO. We needed to create a social media design, similar to what was in the PDF poster example from the charity organization and which they provided in their media kit. I was about to open InDesign or Affinity Publisher when I remembered Markzware's stand-alone application, PDFMarkz!
PDFMarkz (PDF to IDML) software allows users to open PDF files in InDesign, Affinity Publisher, QuarkXPress, Acrobat, Illustrator, and many other desktop publishing applications, image formats, & file formats:

I previewed the PDF in PDFMarkz, was satisfied, and proceeded to convert it into InDesign. Now, InDesign is great, but some designers use Affinity Publisher. So, to stay connected to the workflow, I converted the PDF into Affinity Publisher, via PDFMarkz. It made the process so much easier and faster, and I could enjoy the rest of the weekend!
PDFMarkz actually converts the PDF to IDML. Then, it opens, with just a click, via the PDFMarkz interface, in numerous DTP applications. That is how you can repurpose a PDF for use in Adobe InDesign or Affinity Publisher, with the help of Markzware's PDFMarkz!
