The State Anthem of the Republic of Bashkortostan was adopted on 12 October 1993, and officially ratified by the Constitution of the Republic of Bashkortostan on 18 September 2008. The anthem has official lyrics in two of the republic's official languages: Bashkir and Russian. The Bashkir lyrics were written by Bashkir authors Ravil Bikbaev and Rashid Shakurov. The Russian lyrics were penned by Svetlana Churayeva with the help of Bashkir musician Farid Idrisov, who also helped with the development of the music.
The flag of the Republic of Bashkortostan is one of the official state symbols of Bashkortostan, a federal subject of Russia, alongside the coat of arms and anthem. The flag has three horizontal stripes. The Kurai flower represents friendship, and its seven petals represent the seven tribes who bring unity, and consolidation to Bashkortostan. The blue represents the integrity, and the excellence of the thoughts of the Bashkir people, and the white stands for their peacefulness, and their willingness to cooperate, and the green for freedom, and eternal life.
