“How Did We Get Here? The Past, Present and Future of Reproductive Justice”

Featuring:

— Tithi Bhattacharya, co-author of “Feminism for the 99%: A Manifesto” (Verso Books)
— Jenny Brown, author of “Without Apology: The Abortion Struggle Now” (Verso Books)
— Marian Jones, NYC-DSA Socialist Feminist Working Group

This is the first of four panel discussions from the Reproductive Justice Activist Day School, held at Verso Books in Brooklyn on November 23, 2019. Hosted by NYC Democratic Socialists of America.

As right-wing forces intensify their attacks on reproductive justice and abortion access, the need to build a strong left-wing movement for abortion rights and reproductive justice has become increasingly urgent. This day school is a step toward working across organizational lines to build a united, pro-abortion front.
