This video begins when I first spotted a driver who turned out to be drunk driving. I noticed him repeatedly braking for no reason, taking very wide turns, and weaving in out of his lane. When he nearly hit me in a roundabout, then sped off toward downtown at nearly twice the speed limit, I decided it was time to call the police. With it being the weekend, downtown was crammed with pedestrians and other drivers enjoying the city's nightlife, and adding this guy to the mix could have easily been fatal.
About a half-hour after the video ends, the police phoned me back to confirm the driver was "very impaired." When I gave a written statement, the officer said the driver was "plastered."
Never drink and drive. Too many people have been needlessly killed at the hands of drunk drivers. There are always other options. Never put others and yourself at senseless risk.
Drive safe.
