Tonight I share the beginning of Project: Orion. A series of attempts at capturing a great Orion image over a spectacular foreground. In this edition, I share my adventures from January where I went out with MaryBeth Kiczenski to the cliché-but-awesome tourist destinations in Zion and Arches.

While sharing the challenges and successes of this trip, I will share my RAW files from the adventure and show off how STAR TRACKED MILKY WAY PHOTOGRAPHY can bring out the low-contrast colors and detail that you just can't get without tracking! Whether you have an Astro-modded camera or not, you WILL see details like Barnard's Loop!
