My shops front porch support poles are deteriorating from rust and corrosion from the bottom up. It's time to replace them with some treated 4x4 timbers that I bought from Home Depot. After replacing the columns and adding a fresh coat of paint I decided to spice things up a bit with a decorative corner bracket on each of the pole sides. These parts were fashioned from wood rails salvaged from an old water bed frame. This video is a record of my DIY work and final results, from start to finish.
