this is it I am replacing a laundry tray pump at my moms follow along and see how I replaced the laundry tray pump and the mistakes I made so you can avoid them. working with plumbing can be frustrating at times and could be a costly learning experience. start by removing the old laundry tray pump it up to you but I would not reuse most parts from the old one. most likely your new pump will be different and you would benefit from new pipe and plumbing fittings. the water should flow from the sink to the pump then to the ball valve to control the out put flow and then to the check valve. you want to match the output flow with the water flowing into the sink so that your pump turns on once empties the sink and shuts off. you don't want the pump turning on and off on and off this will shorten the life of your pump. the check valve with stop water from flowing back into the pump and up in your sink after the pump has shut off.
