A forgotten story of many eons ago, when the Elements were still unrefined. Through them a different sort of order was kept in the land of Equestria, but there were some who clung to the truth, however briefly.

For over thirty years just to keep us living peacefully
They made us all wear the same smile that was never there
Came to one afternoon, discovering my mind was free
That was when she found me, the very first to learn to care

We trust the paper lady and we're giving it hell
But every day there's less of us evading the spell

Seems they were hearing something in your voice on the phone
That drew them to the elements for reasons unknown

To stop the senators of starlight taking you as their own

We'd tried so many times to get our hooves on the elements,
Six unholy gems born of the alicorns of yesteryear
No one but the paper lady knew where the senators
Were keeping them, she got us in, we took them and we brought them here

Another falls to the senators' peace
The whispers in my head are never going to cease
Sitting looking up at the stars every night
Now I don't quite remember why I wanted to fight

I volunteered myself to take the elements home
