Google just dropped the first developer preview build of Android 11, aka Android R. This first version (and possibly more) will not be available as a public beta download, meaning youll have to manually flash the update if you want it now.
The good news is, if your bootloader is already unlocked, you can easily flash the DP1 build without wiping your data. Yes, youll have to use fastboot, but you wont even have to type a single command — just double-click a file.

In this video, Ill be showing you how to turn the earpiece speaker on your Pixel XL into a second media playback speaker for true stereo sound.
Youll need to be rooted to try this out, but Ive got a detailed guide at the full tutorial that makes rooting the Pixel XL super easy. On top of that, this mod will only work on the Pixel XL (not the regular Pixel), and its only intended for use on Android 7.1.
But with a little work, you can fix one of the biggest gripes most people have with the new Pixel, and increase audio quality dramatically.

In this video, Ill be showing you how to use an Xposed module called CustomShare to get rid of the Direct Share targets in Android 6.0s share menu.
Direct Share is a feature that allows apps to include specific targets in Android Marshmallows share menu–for instance, a messaging app can let you share a file directly to a contact instead of just to the main app itself. But most apps dont include a setting for disabling this feature, so you end up with a share menu that fills up most of your screen.
CustomShare lets you easily remove any of these new Direct Share targets with a few simple taps, and all you need to use it is the Xposed Framework.

In this video, Ill be showing you how to fix clock-syncing issues on Android by synchronizing with atomic time from international servers instead of using your carriers time service.
This app (ClockSync) has been around for a while, but it recently got a huge compatibility update for newer Android versions, so its worth a revisit if youve already seen it. Instead of dealing with buggy carrier-provided time that gets out of sync, this lets you sync with atomic time via the internet, so your clock will always be exactly right as long as you have any type of internet connection, even Wi-Fi.

Just a quick video showing off how easy it is to force all apps to work with split screen mode on Android 7.0 or higher. All you have to do is enable Developer Options (tab Build number 7 times), then turn on the Force activities to be resizable setting. Restart, then all your apps work with split screen!
