This is episode four in the Juno-106 restoration series. In this episode, I remove the control board to replace all the sliders and switches. After rebuilding this board, I reinstall the control board, clean the MIDI board, and do the final reassembly. Next I calibrate the analog voice board, and do final testing. Once everything is working, I demonstrate the new features of the Kiwi-106 upgrade, then use the synth to create a short demo track.

Time is not kind to old synthesizers, and the Juno-106 is no exception. In this video series, I take an old Juno-106 and restore it to better-than-new condition, with new chips and hardware, and then add all kinds of new functionality to bring it into the 21st century - while retaining the important qualities that make a Juno-106 so special.
