Luke Cartin, Director of Lands and Sustainability for Park City and co-founder of Mountain Towns 2030 spoke about Utah's Community Clean Energy Program in light of recent news about data centers in Utah.
The program involves adding a small cost to consumers' power bills in order to fund new renewable energy development in the state.
Participants will have a new clean energy line item on their Rocky Mountain Power bill to support the Program. Households will pay an initial rate of $4 per month, and non-residential customers will pay a monthly rate based on usage.
