Symptoms of the fault
ABS light on dashboard, rusted or disintegrated ABS plate, ABS sensor hanging loose. Sometimes the plate is rusted away to the point where it is completely missing.
The problem
The ABS plates that sit over the wheel hub corrode and disintegrate over time, thus reducing the connectivity to the ABS sensor and generating an ABS fault code. These plates are not available to buy separately as they are built into the rear axle and Renault garages will charge over £1000 for a new axle plus labour. Even scrap yards are not willing to sell the plates separately as they can make more money selling the complete axles.

Our solution
Our ABS plates are a much more cost-effective solution to this common and simple issue. We have designed & created our own plates out of marine grade stainless steel to prevent any corrosion like the original unit. They also have two indents for spot welds, this is because the knuckle itself may have surface corrosion, affecting a secure fit for the new ABS plate, if this is the case then you can spot weld it into place so the ABS sensor does not become lose.
